As a leasing consultant, you're the main point of contact with customers, whether they call your apartment property, visit online or visit in-person. Your focus is to warmly connect with prospects and successfully showcase the advantages of our high-end properties.
What's a day in the life like? You may greet customers, explain our pricing and models, show our apartment communities, close deals, follow up on customer leads and help coordinate marketing efforts. Weekend days are required, but no evenings.
A Leasing Consultant is the primary property sales representative and resident customer service liasion. A Leasing Consultant is responsible for greeting customers, touring the community, closing the sale, completing lease paperwork, and resident retention.
-Greet customers, sell property benefits, request security deposit, and perform all leasing functions.
-Respond to calls and inquiries from customers, residents, and vendors professionally.
-Complete welcome cards, record all traffic and follow-up with all customers.
-Qualify customers according to the property quidelines and adhere to all Fair Housing Laws.
-Collect all required new lease paperwork, fees, and deposits.
-Maintain a professional, friendly office atmosphere.
-Daily inspection of models, vacants to ensure readiness.
-Be aware of local market trends and conditions. Update Market Survey monthly.
-Maintain accurate resident and leasing records.
-Complete daily, weekly, monthly leasing and marketing reports as required.
-Accept service requests and route to maintenenace; conduct service follow-up with residents.
-Inspect property, pick up litter, report service need sto manager or maintenance.
-Adhere to all local/state laws and comply with teh company's policies and procedures.
-To occasionally assist other employees in any apartment management function.
Other duties, as assigned.
Education, training, experience:
-Practical experience required; previous sales or customer service experience helpful.
-Must have a friendly demeanor and willingness to help customers and residents. -Must speak and write English well enough to communicate effectively with others.
-Warm, engaging, inviting personality
-Friendly, energetic, with great people skills
-Easily connect with a variety of people
-Excellent at both phone and in-person sales
-Appearance and demeanor appropriate for upscale properties and clientele
-Self-motivated and hard-working
-High-energy and commitment to high performance in a busy, multi-task work environment
-Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends
-Sales or customer service experience and some college preferred
